The past week has been a blur. LOTS OF PAIN MEDS!! So today I'm back at work and can't believe how wiped out I still am. Maybe I should have laid low this weekend, but I started feeling fairly decent so I decided it was entirely appropriate to go to my work party, a Carnival at Thanksgiving Point. I tromped around after my nieces and nephews for FIVE hours, and although it was a total blast, by the end of the night it had literally sucked away every ounce of energy AND my will to live. So I went home at 11 pm and slept until 12:30 pm the next day. Hmmmm....is that a sign that I was overdoing so soon after surgery?
The upside however, is that I found yet another thing to be thankful for. My Job. I absolutely love working at Omniture. I love the people I work with, I love the company, I love the management, I love it all. They treat their employees so good, I can't believe it. Now, don't get me wrong, I had an incredible gig going in Los Angeles working on "nip/tuck" with the fantastic and inspiring writers, especially Ryan Murphy who was always, always so overwhelmingly good to me. Nothing can ever compare to that, but if you're living in Utah, Omniture is the way to go! They are an incredible company and I never feel grumpy about going to work. That's a great job!
Yesterday my sister and brother-in-law, Elicia and Jordan, threw a "Bob"eque for my dad. His birthday was in December, but so soon after Christmas that he gets the short stick every year. So this year for his birthday they gave him a summer BBQ (his name is Bob, thus the "Bob"eque) and we celebrated yesterday at the Gray's, who hands down are one of the funniest families I know. At the end of the day, I was the only Cardon representin' and finally decided to pull myself off the couch and drag myself home. They're too entertaining, everybody should be so lucky to know them. And so in honor of them, I will soon be posting pics of my belly bagel. I know that's going to gross out a lot of people, but I feel it's something that should be shared with the world, to bring humor and sunshine into our lives. However, I am going to wait until the stitches come out, no need to make people barf.

Oh Chelsey, I love your blog and have read back through it to catch up on your life. You have been busy. When did you move to Utah?
Check out my blog some time. It is not much. I am not a good writer.
Take it easy girl! What kind of surgery was it?

Chelsey, It was so good to see your face tonight. Even if I was just for a little while. I really feel like a horrible friend. I did want to come see you in your time of need! Just know that I was thinking of you. I'm not just talking out of my butt, which sometimes I admit I do, I really really want to hang out with you! Movie night this week for sure!
